Can a business obtain credit cards without a social security number backing up a tax id number?  

Many times my contactors call for big orders from Home Depot or Lowes so I can pay with credit card over the phone.Is there a way to get an account with HD or Lowes so they can put supplies on it?

I've sent out 2250 letters and post cards and gotten 57 responses.  

If I were to schedule a credit card payment which is due on the 3rd, I would schedule my payment to go out a few days in advance such that the full payment is their hands by the 3rd to avoid any penalties.

And have not gotten any calls from the yellow letters/cards that I've sent out to the list.

I always collect a copy of their drivers license or ID, you can collect a copy of their SSN card as well if you are worried about it being made up.

With respect, private money is not a commodity item like a book or laptop that you can buy online, and perhaps enjoy the protection of a credit card.
