What is the risk, if any, with a Certificate of Occupancy due to the narrow hallways and stacked items?

I have my EIT certification and I'm about 1 year away from having enough experience to take the PE exam for my license.

I am wanting to find out if anyone has any knowledge what can happen if you have a tax certificate in your name only and are going through a divorce.

Also, I have seen inspectors make contractors remove furniture if they don't have a Certificate of Occupancy
