I, for some reason, have aimed for 5 BD houses that folks would want to throw a wedding reception in, up in the hills, out of town, with nature and views and walks.

@Jillian Sidoti I believe donations. they used examples such as instead of buying physical wedding gifts or baby gifts, to just donate to their home funding page instead.

Investing out of state in Detroit, CLE, Cincy, KC, etc without being from there, having a family member there, or having a very good contact (like a friend who stood-up in your wedding type contact) is a recipe for disaster.

Based on your questions it would be advisable that you do far more research on finances and investing rather than start with actually researching the mechanics of the purchase.You are starting kindergarten asking questions about the college graduation ceremony.

(Yes, I realize that sounds like a weak reason as I type it -- but neither of us ever wanted a wedding and being married wouldn't change much for us beyond tax filing status, so it wasn't a high priority on our list.

I just got married and have a couple grand worth of cash and a couple checks from people as wedding gifts.I would like to get financing within the next 6 months or so for a rental property and was wondering if these cash and check deposits will cause any problems.Does anyone have experience with this?
