What are some inexpensive ways to replace or repair a walkway? 

There is no grass on exterior as excavator can’t come due to local restrictions (still needs to build front steps and walkway).

People are already figuring it with higher end malls, outdoor walkways, they are commanding huge rents and still occupied.

I ended up getting burned with a few of those (inherited) tenants, so it kind of killed it for me.Fast forward to this year, one of my tenants has been clearing snow from ALL of the common areas, sidewalks and walkways before I can get there myself.

An alternative is those solar powered lights designed to light walkways etc.

If you rely on someone else for snow removal and they don't make it there until hours after the storm the landlord is ultimately responsible if someone falls on the stairs or walkways right?

An elderly visitor falls on a slight elevation on a sidewalk or walkway and breaks her hip.

(The city mandates that the walkway is shoveled within 24hrs of snowfall).
