I was wondering if anyone here has experience investing in property in Portugal that I can ask a few questions?

I'm looking into the Portugal market for investment.

Many developed countries have very high debt to GDP ratios such as Italy, Portugal, Japan etc. over 100%, spending more than they take in.Makes it sound like the end times and one world currency is near.

This may be the wrong forum, but has anyone purchased real estate in Portugal as an investment, particularly in the Algarve region?

House prices are below 120k in some areas.I also would suggest to look at Leiria and Santarem, as this markets are having increasing demand for rentals due to immigrants that are looking for places outside of lisbon, for more affordable living.Wish you a successfull journey on your REI in Portugal!

We had to call the Notary  we worked with at the embassy (incredibly helpful and all around lovely) and ask for permission to change the closing location to Lisbon, Portugal rather than the Morgantown Location.

I am looking to for some residential investment property in Europe (Portugal or Greece).  

We will also have to file our foreign income, as we have a rental property in Portugal.
