My wife and I own a handful of vacation rental property units in Michigan, our home base.

So I am in the process of acquiring a new property in a good area that is vacation driven in upstate NY.

Any suggestions on insurance companies that specialize in Homeowner Insurance for investors that have a part-time vacation home that also serves as a rental property?

@Jeremy H. you seem to think that short term vacation rentals are a RE play when they are in fact a business.

Over the years, it has served as a cherished vacation home, lovingly renovated by my grandfather, brothers, and myself.

Anyhow, interested in your thoughts..I have not seen anything on the case being overturned, however have seen the ruling vacated or set aside as Daly went on a bit of a warpath following that decision.

Several people using Evolve Vacation Rental had concerns about how difficult it would be to leave Evolve. 

Granted its CO and not NY but whats the link between rent control and private vacation rentals? 

We are looking at multi-Family, Single Family and also vacation rentals.
