At that point we realized that we'd need to buy at a distance in order to keep the momentum going, so we bought 3 houses at a distance, two units in TX and one in FL. 

Invite some of those contacts you made to coffee or lunch and keep the momentum going through the rest of the month.

Direct mail takes time to build momentum so you want to make sure you have allocated the appropriate funds to do so.  

This will give you time to wait out whatever mother nature has in store for us and still not stop your forward momentum.

Inventory is low so naturally the momentum shifts outside the district.

If you can only do a little bit every day, but you are doing it consistently, you will start to build momentum and ultimately get deals.
