Appreciation can be the best in these areas as long as they are not over built, but these homes can also be the ones to take the biggest drop as demand above the median home price is lower and more affected by market volatility.

@Joe Martella I think your best bet is to invest in a market that doesn't have as many swings and volatility as other markets.
