People on the forum know that my motto for most New Yorkers is to make money here and get it out of the state as quickly as possible.

I read from another source that many New Yorkers are renting apartments in other states, like Florida, in order to show proof that they spend enough time there per year to claim it as their residence, just to avoid the taxes of NY.

You need money and a good chance that the property will not cash-flow.I have seen posts of New Yorkers deciding to invest in Hudson.

The only successful marketing campaigns aimed at attorneys I know of were accomplished by advertising in the bar association magazine.

 I live in Hudson valley regions too, Middletown, Newburgh is good too for rental properties and price and decent for New Yorkers.

As a fellow New Yorker, I am similarly Type A about having everything in writing and signed before a guest checks in.

I have seen quite a few examples in the very high end design magazines though, and something is going to have to replace granite soon as the new fashion (am I the only person on earth who hates granite countertops?)
