That would be my goal.The owners have a recent loan modification on the primary lien claiming hardship, but not sure that would matter if I own the secondary?

When you are under water banks will not offer loan modification to bail you out unless Congress authorizes another program through Fannie Mae etc. 

If the answer to the questions are yes...here it comes: "The FHA requires the owner/landlord to make a reasonable modification to current policies."
