The CHS market is HOT right now and there are more buyers than inventory - but this city is a great one to visit and draws a TON of visitors - anything that is going to cater to hospitality and tourism is going to do well here long term. 

My area is slowly releasing the foreclosure moratorium and the area is currently pushing a campaign to attract tourism, business, and home ownership here.

In Las Vegas, the market blooms slightly better than others when everyone is doing good, but it gets hit harder than other markets due to its tourism. 1) Who do you recommend I talk to in order to make the best decision including tax strategy and property purchase?

Punta Cana represents two thirds of the tourism in the country and is already very developed.

People will only really vacation to certain areas of the country that have a tourism draw, so an investor should consider that and get crystal clear on your intended use.

High in tourism, close driving distance to other major metropolitan areas and land. 

Here, prices are drastically lower than Naples, and ever better, STR's are actually encouraged by the city to strengthen their economic growth from tourism!

Another thing... when this economy turns downward, you can get hurt quick and hard (if you don't buy right)  because of the 2nd home buyers that will get spooked and the tourism industry will slow. 

There is no tourism here.
