But you will have to take a look at some of the items that might be effected by that: outlets, light switches, other trim like window trim, baseboards or crownmoldingOnce you open up the walls and a framing inspector sees that, they will make you bring things up to code.

The only real good deals I have seen actually work are these older buildings in the right neighborhoods that are structurally sound, and then restoring them to a Victorian/Edwardian feel but paying special attention to the detailing like molding and trim.

and if you can trim back that tree, you may have fewer leaves falling directly into it...could be the angle but it looks very close, almost overhead....they make all types of screens but I like to just clean them out and like see where it is clogged or filling up and how it flows That deciduous tree I would trim way back or even remove if a rental...best of luck

With a repair, I supposed it could be trimmed out and covered as there are no windows on this end of the house.
