Was wondering if there were any hotel investment networking, mastermind, or meetup groups and events out there?

I was in a mastermind zoom call and asked this question to Scott Trench (BP Money Podcast host and CEO of BP) and his advice was to house hack in the rapidly appreciating market.

I have a mastermind I attend.

Self-education (books, podcasts, etc) and networking (local meetups, mastermind groups, etc) are absolutely critical to being successful in real estate. 

I have joined a Mastermind that has been a little slow getting the ball rolling.

There are a lot of active duty or veterans in there that are investing in real estate and depending on what exactly you are looking for he and @Stuart Grazier also lead the War Room Mastermind for active duty and veterans where I have made many awesome real estate connections. 

The founder reach out to me to ask if I would be interested in the mastermind.

In my mastermind group, there was an investor who built ADU's within an existing SFH.I think he targeted 2 story homes, and built a small apartment on the first floor.
