Pros: properties are affordable there (especially compared to MA), easy direct flights from Boston, great tourist destination (so there's a possibility to rent through AirBnB for supplemental income), tax advantages if we ever move there full time, etc.Cons: PR's default (could result in higher taxes), high unemployment rate, locals leaving the island en masse, etc.

I rehabbed them once only to have them destroyed within 45 days ... so I just let them go for tax's.. these same areas no doubt are the homes you see on line fo r2 k to 15k.. its sad really... no question there is flight to the burbs but that is every city I worked in and mentioned above.

Or the weather may be so bad that an experienced pilot will know that it is best to turn around and try another day while the inexperienced pilot may push through and need to make an emergency landing.The problem in real estate is that until you lift off you don't know what type of flight is in store.

We know that investors (landlords) come in many forms, from slumlord with short sighted goals to top flight owners who understand giving their customers full value for the rental dollar which I believe has the greatest ROI over time.Nobody ever said it was easy.

Includes 2 flights of stairs.- New washer/dryer (hookups fine) and pantry shelves- New french door to patio- New fireplace (direct vent, upscale)- There are plenty recessed lights, but "statement" light fixtures need to be replaced (kitchen pendants, dining room)- Garage is ok- New closet doors for 3 bedsAny help would be appreciated!!

I have ways to get around that if I feel like it might be a problem, but actually I think it helps me because I can manage a buyers flight risk (even when I am the listing agent) by being the one to inform them that the foundation has some cracks, but I have a contact that can fill them for $500 each, up to $8k for a brand new drainage system.
