Funding your first project

Hi everyone me and my wife is thinking about working on our first project. It will mostly definitely be a flip how can I go about finding funding for this project as far as working with the bank. How do you applied for the loan? With so many banks around which ones are more appealing to approve the loan for this project? Thanks for all your suggestions.
