Take actionable steps first and put yourself down later.I would try to stop listening to the voice inside you that is filling you with self-doubt.

We run businesses but I find the human touch, in voice or in programmed messages, just makes things run better. 

Give him a call in a panic stricken voice  "  Hey XXXXX  I am sooooooo sorry but you wont believe what happened , we were robbed , somebody broke in over the weekend and stole ALL your stuff .

We started with Google Voice but found that its limitations were hindering us, specifically in the realm of how many phone numbers we could forward calls to (although the free minutes/texts, and it's contact book was great). 

If I get a call, I will let it go to voice mail, listen to it and then text back.

if you can afford to obtain a mortgage or can negotiate yourself into a home you can afford. i always say own your home. if you rent you never receive that money you've spent paying rent. there are numerous benefits to owning tax deductibles, rebates, incentives, better voice in the community, etc....
