Some things to consider otherwise:- Paint is likely to outperform stain (in large part due to the pigments) over the long haul- Be cautious when power washing... a lot of damage can be done to the surface very quickly and water can get into places it's not supposed to... consider hand washing with TSP - Be cautious if spraying outdoors... don't want to have the wind carry overspray onto the neighbor's houses, vehicles, or other property (it happens all the time - dryfall paint is one option).

After that, we'll make and install concrete counter tops, prep for the apron sink installation, spray the cabinets, doors and trim, paint the walls/ceiling, install the doors and then put in the brick floor.That's our plan of action at least.

i sprayed them three times over the course of three days with bleach and painted them with mold killer from depot @30bucks a gallon... they were on bricks in the basement and in the walls above the drop ceiling.

Maybe mop with a strong bleach solution just to make sure, and spray some up the wall to the water line.
