We run into this especially at out parcels in grocery anchored centers, and our users generally can't make a ground lease work for the business case so the next best thing does tend to be the BTS or we often do Reverse BTS deals where the majority of the building design and management etc is done by the tenant. 

These two contractors may not like that area, or just had one bad experience, so it would be great if you could explore more of what other experiences people had/have in the city. 

I wasn't going to let this deter me so I began looking for deals but the numbers just didn't pan out.

Also seems like a lot of MF sells occupied with tenants in place so you just have to comfortable with that and contracting up from and seeing inside after contracting.    1st step is to find a great lender and get pre-approved for a loan so you know what your budget is. 

Also, the turnover will be much lower, but maintenance costs might shift too, so it's good to plan for that.Happy to connect if you need more tips!

If so you should be able to cancel but if you are doing it out of the inspection period you are stuck and could run the risk of losing your earnest money if you put any down.
