I have a friend who would like to immigrate in a few years and he is thinking that getting a few buy and hold properties will be part of his income stream once he does.

Lots of these places were super-high end suburbs before the huge immigration wave in the late 1800s-early 1900s. 2.

Baltimore, DC, Northern Virginia etc just do not have the number of multis that other areas of the country have. 2-4 unit properties throughout the northeast were typically built to provide cheaper housing to working class immigrant populations..but DC for instance did not start to become a major metro area till 100-150 years after the other northeastern cities...and Baltimore in order to provide affordable housing went the ground rent route as opposed to multifamily housing.

I think ill mention now that I'm an immigrant and since moving to the states I followed business opportunities when choosing where to live and I tend to keep on doing so.

The notion that a person can only work 1 FT job at a time, it's lazy, it just is, it's American Lazy and a reason why immigrants out-achieve Americans so consistently.

With your muslim immigration, I wouldn't even consider it.

There are lots of new businesses, immigrant families and young people moving there. 

We have immigrated to Canada in 2010.
