My grandmother is elderly and currently a new member at an old folks home, my brother is seeking power of attorney so we can sell her property to pay for her care.

If that's the case I highly suggest you speak with an elder law attorney for a win win situation regarding gifting and qualifying for long term care.

Power of Attorneys for ailing old people can get extremely complicated, and the entire transfer could be voided by a strong Elder Law attorney if the old person decides to renege and uses then existing mental condition to challenge the transfer.

For example, I have an elderly client who is an all-cash buyer, and she's looking to buy several properties that are newer construction in the Roseville area to rent out. 

.*  brought on a partner who is active in business development in the elder care community*  mailed to local assisted living facilities, adult day care, APS, home health and other providers*  held an open house.  

Well Nick abruptly stopped answering my emails, calls and messages at the time I said I was revolted by his suggestions of scamming my long term tenant at another property who is a lovely elderly lady.

Also elderly 'predatory' legals to be aware of.  

Secondly, does anyone know if we can get funding or grants from the govt for opening such facility, as it would help the elderly population (yes it is a business too)?
