I'm guessing that unless he's absolutely sick of the property, he won't let it go at a rock-bottom price.You're right about the nasty houses in the neighborhood.

Raymond B. and Ann Bellamy are right on the words of caution ... and I would agree with Ann, J Scott's books are amazing and packed with solid, useable info.At the same time, if a speaker/guru can help give you a road map to follow and save you some time and trouble, I say go for it if the price is reasonable.

Due to work, life, etc. he ended up renting it out in 2005, 06...when the markets crashed he saw a bunch of people essentially giving away their timeshares at the same location, so he bought them at rock bottom prices.He can sell his "premium" weeks for $4000-5000 each, with annual fees and taxes ranging in the $900-1200 range.
