I'm not sure if that's a joke or if that's serious...Just in case it's serious, the only "death panels" I currently know about are the panels of people that private insurance companies have who determine what treatments will be approved and which treatments will not be approved, independent (and often in contradiction) to what the doctors recommend.This is why health care reform is so important -- those who have a conflict of interest when it comes to life/death decisions shouldn't be involved in the decisions in the first place.

Hi John,I'm not a doctor, a lawyer, or a plumber, etc. etc.You're off to a great start.Since your assets are basically the rental itself and your own cash, it's unlikely you need an LLC for protection of assets.An umbrella policy would be a good idea, just to make sure you do have some coverage in case some dorkhead slips and falls on your property.

If you're really concerned about them making claims that the photos are doctored or old, bring a newspaper with you with the day's date on it . . . .Once you cede control of your property to your tenants, they will try and walk all over you.
