If I had received such an e-mail I would have complained to the sender.IMHO using that information for your own benefit is highly inappropriate.

In this event you are changing the tax payer for the property and when done prior to a sale the IRS has consistently ruled that as a way of accessing profit inappropriately and disallowed the exchange.  

Also, the anniversary of the owner's death just passed a few weeks ago and felt as though it was an inappropriate time to talk business.
