Attorney not calling back rant

This may just be me venting but... I'm interested in picking up a foreclosure so I tracked down the law office that is handling the case. I've called the office at least a dozen time and left 5-6 messages over the last 2 weeks. I still have yet to receive a call back. It's as if they don't want to sell the thing!

Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a way around the attorney?

You need to be clear. The attorney "handling the foreclosure" would be the foreclosure attorney for the bank...he will not talk to you, there is nothing he can do, the bank doesn't own it yet, he is just processing the foreclosure, period.  An attorney for the estate may, or may not, be "be handling the sale before the foreclosure".  First question, is there any equity?  If not, the estate has very little motivation to do a short sale.  Try and talk to the heirs.
