There are a few items that I feel can be found for much better pricing, base and case is one example.Regarding installers, no matter if you are searching for tile installers, carpet installers, cabinet installers, framers, or any other service provider, again, referrals are helpful and the rest is making the most informed decision possible between competing providers.

So far that's my plan.I do have the following questions:1) I was taking to a framer and foundation guy that was doing work around the area and he recommends that is cheaper to tear down and build a 3500 sq ft house with a 2 car garage for $350K finished.

However; the job is going to depend on the type of house, complexity of design (are you using trusses for the roof or does it require framers to build it, etc., are there utilities to the property or do they need to be brought, is it on septic or sewer, and many other variables.

I had some relationships with guys who were blue collar construction guys (framers, etc.) who were low on work so I was able to hire them out for some of the rehab work I didn’t do myself for reasonable prices.Lastly, I found that if you keep trying, you will get better the next time.
