Well, the sewer failed with a blockage and we were unable to confirm the rest of the line.

This will add coverage for the home in case of a sump pump failure, blockage, and various other problems that can cause water to backup into your basement, or home.

They also need to keep all the vents open and free of blockages, both return and outflow vents.

Folks call in a pipe leak as a flood, a sewer failure as a blockage, or state something like, "oh yeah, we knew there was a small leak in the roof for a few months but it didn't get really bad till this last storm".

Wide enough sewer pipes to prevent blockage?

This is a major concern because eventually the offsetswill completely separate from the connection which in-tern will cause a blockage into the sewer system not allowing waste toflow out.

You can unscrew the shower head and install a water pressure gauge to take a reading (you can buy them cheap), then compare that reading to another fixture to see if there is even an issue at all or if it could be blockage at the fixture.To me, strong water pressure is not part of the warranty of habitability. 

My plumber has also recommended to me to not use the low gallon toilets as he has had lots of sewer blockages when installed.
