Attorney volunteers from the North Carolina Bar Association will take calls from members of the public with law-related questions.

I have always been handy and picked up even more skills by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity over the years.  

I have a feeling you wont find someone to volunteer to be your judge.

Another way is to volunteer on board locally OR find out how to add value to, say, a group of physicians who have tax pain points in their practices.
