I have a lot of books on the topic, attended a couple of clubs, but my significant other is not on board.

I can't think of any pitfalls if they are on board.

For this reason, I want to make sure to have a contractor on board who understands it.

After letting him know I was a fellow landlord that knew what a landlord was looking for in prospective tenants and how my situation would actually be much better for the overall care of his house he was on board. 

After firmly deciding I was going to start investing in real estate I talked to 4 of my close friends and brought them on board with my vision. 

I wish it would slow down a bit.I got in exactly right and it has been way better than I could ever have imagined.Goal is 300 doors this year mostly SFJump on board Detroit appreciation is better than anywhere AND cash flow is better than anywhere also.

I am working on a deal where the husband and wife owner/sellers are separated but not divorced, the wife says her husband is on board and will sign the papers but won't let me speak with him which has me a little concerned he may go sideways between now and closing.
