It also answers the other question, no I wouldn't pay more than appraisal.Your profile says Germany but assuming you're in the U.S. or the properties are?

You should update your profile to let people know where you are. 

I wouldn't even think about making the extra payments, especially because you're looking to invest in more real estate based on your profile.  3.625% may be the cheapest money you'll ever get and with the house hack, it seems like most, if not all, of your expenses are covered and your housing costs are pretty cheap. 

I have been browsing BP website/forum for the last year and half and have read a few books on real estate investing and have learned a lot.
