@Graham Rider, ultimately there needs to be a balance sheet behind the loan.  

The overwhelming majority of tax liens are ultimately redeemed, so buying in your name in search of anonymity down the road shouldn't be an issue.

And unless you're the ultimate expert on doing this, you shouldn't be training the experts on your team.
