Whereabouts in Idaho do you hail from?

Apparently we're in some sort of "hail alley" around here. 

My Mustang (among other things) was damaged in that big hail storm last May.  

Buying a house is a little more complex than hailing a taxi.

I get a mortgage of $40K on the house I bought and put a roof on 10 days before the hail storm. 

Omaha...Pros: - Strong, diverse local economy with low unemployment- Strong rental market with good price/rent ratios- Good appreciation in better areas, withstands economic downturns well- Affordable price points for starter homes- Landlord friendly, evictions can be done in a few weeksCons:- Property taxes are brutal - around 2%- Weather extremes are insane - extreme cold and snow in winter, flash flooding, tornadoes and hail in spring, sweltering heat/humidity in July/August.

.@ Will Kinel - I work with homeowner's to go through the insurance claims process when they suffer a loss due to wind/hail storms.

There is a big difference between being in Zone 1 or Zone 2 in the wind and hail zones so make sure you get quotes in the area you are looking so you can factor that in.
