For tax planning, I would recommend looking for a firm with EAs or CPAs who specialize in the asset class you are most interested in.

Same like AUM too or when realtor says their firm managed 5 billion transaction lol

Personally, I am a HUGE fan and proponent  of Chicago Cashflow and  ANDREW HOLMES  MASTERY PROGRAM , because everyone I met there seemed genuine, honest ,  ambitious people always eager to help if you only ask for it.  

I’m an architectural designer & drafter who works at a high end firm and we use it for all our remodel projects.

In fact, its so competitive in trying to buy a SFR owner financed note, that most note investors have gravitated to buying non performing, under performing or re performing notes from banking institutions, or the asset disposition firms that represent them.

I recently spoke to a property management firm that told me their clients don't experience any pain with financials or taxes Jan - April. 

I'd at least interview 2-3 local property management firms, preferably ones that can do both commercial and residential to keep it all together.

I am a firm believer that the value of real estate will continue to increase year over year.
