Glad you're here.There are lots of ways to learn more and getting involved in the local real estate investor community in Maryland, NOVA and DC.

I am looking to use the $50,000 as a down payment on my first property, but I do not like the NOVA area in terms of finding either a cash flowing SF home given the price points, and there are barely any Multi-family units (the ones that are are beyond my price point).After researching multiple strategies, I either am looking to (1) be an LP in a syndication with the money, or (2) invest in a SF home in the Richmond, VA area (great market potential, better price points, etc.).

Hi Kristina, I'm up in NOVA as well.

My wife and I visit Nova every year, we still have a lot of friends there.

@Deneuve Brutus I will steal your line next time I meet a client from outside NOVA.

I'd like for my first investment to be under $150k (around $80-100k preferred) but it seems very hard to find anything that will generate decent cash flow, especially anywhere near the NOVA area.

Looking to join forces with great people who are not afraid to work hard for what they want. 10 years in the IT industry and now looking for something new and rewarding .
