Buy and Hold Investments in Virginia
Hi everyone,
I'm new to BP and new to investing in real estate (I work full time, have a well paying job, and am only looking to invest on the side). I'm mostly interested in rental property, preferably buy and hold, possibly BRRRR. My primary goal would be cash flow. I live in Virginia and would prefer if my first few investments were in-state. I'm curious if anyone has had success in any particular market in Virginia. Richmond and Lynchburg seem like good options from what I've read. I'd like for my first investment to be under $150k (around $80-100k preferred) but it seems very hard to find anything that will generate decent cash flow, especially anywhere near the NOVA area. Maybe I need to focus only on home appreciation if I stay in-state... I wanted to open it up to the group to see if anyone had any experience and/or success they wouldn't mind sharing.
Thanks!
