For screening, I would focus more on Credit score, rental history and criminal history. 

I use their screening service to screen potential tenants and their reports are thorough including credit, income identification, criminal record and rental history.

That's absolute criminal!

Their ability to pay and a criminal background check is more important but we still run a credit check. 

He doesn’t have any major criminal offenses or property damage history.I agree about proceeding with background check.

I do not care about credit score.What I care about is non-medical / non-student loan related collections, liens, judgments, repossessions, criminal convictions, prior landlord and personal references, time on job, income, communication skills, ability to follow directions, etc... and my tenant screening process focuses on these things.

Oh, that and a clean report on criminal check.

For example, just mentioning you will run a credit/criminal background on every person 18 or older will stop about 1/3 - 1/2 of all inquiries.

Criminal matter I dont take lightly and wil not discuss with police until my attorney is consulted first.
