@Yashar Fred I have had several Section 8 tenants in my San Antonio rentals (SAHA, HABC) and my experience is that while bad tenants exist, being Section 8 does not make them inherently bad.

It's essentially house hacking on steroids (since you are renting it out by the room and not just a section of the house like a basement), and there's minimal risk.

I plan on renting to Section 8 tenants, and actually, find the allowance for heat for Section 8 to be pretty accurate for the "normal" building.
