@Tvzi Balsam,This is what the REO brokers from Fannie Mae are notorious for, what I have found works for me is you get an independent agent to register with Fannie and the put in your offer, have them follow up the next day with a phone call, just make sure  you have your proof of funds available to submit with said offer, and make sure you have  done your due diligence, as most of these REO'S are loaded with violations that they pass on to you.

The only issue with the background check was the husband tenant had an assault charge 21 years ago, time in county jail, but no prison time.This afternoon, my property manager called me and told me that the tenants called her today and told her that "they didn't realize their current lease wasn't up until the end of July".

Dave,I see the median rents (2013) were $636I don't know Waupun well enough to talk intelligently, but have been through there many times.I know the prison brings in a lot of short term renters with family who have "loved ones" in the prison.
