A successful note investor has a focused approach and narrows its market to a handful of states especially when starting in the business.  

To me it seems like his arguments were all scare tactics and heuristics ("I'm almost 60 years old--I've been around to long enough to know these things don't work" or "talk to A, B, and C about this and see how it worked out for them").

Currently, I’ve made a spreadsheet of the Tampa, FL Zip codes and tried to narrow down areas that I can afford.

And when they do arrive, they tend to do Band-Aid fixes, therefore many times requiring follow-up visits to repair again (and again).

Soon we will narrow down our criteria.

I am working on narrowing down my search area and attempting to identify good areas for investment.

This way you can know where to invest and not to, which could at times be as narrow a factor as one side of the street or the other.

By narrowing down to specific age group, and with a specific message like you are, you should stand out.To that end, you might even take your target and break it up some more, even better targeting your messaging.

It helps you narrow down the massive amount of information on the site.Don't get sucked into paying for education until you have done a good bit of self education.
