Sometimes it is a combination of those time and other options, like saving up more money, maybe even taking on a side gig to generate savings to use moving forward.Don’t let the fact that you are not doing as well as possible or as you want to be distract from the fact that you are doing well. 

But also figuring out where your end destination is (defining what success looks like) is important to keep you from getting distracted just as you said, and getting knocked off course.

It's a tool I've found helpful to keep from being distracted and missing costly details.Another suggestion would be to take photos, take plenty of photos.

@Matthew Bridges my least favorite is always taking too long to get things done, always getting distracted and wasting time on projects that don't matter.

My objective is that one on one meeting, and anything else is a distraction.

It only matters whether the cost of taking the action (perhaps factoring in distraction from the business's vision and annual objectives) is less than or equal to the expected benefit.

Getting licensed is IMO a distraction for most investors; evident by how little 97% of agents know about investing.

It is very easy to become distracted in RE by what other people are doing.Fourth: Find a mentor experienced in the strategy you want to adopt!
