In fact, if I personally saw a property that was an absolutely smokin' deal and a perfect rental property in every other way except for it having an inground pool, then I would consider buying it and factoring in the cost to demo and fill in the pool with compacted dirt then sod, or perhaps put a deck over it.

I would definitely look into becoming an expert on Lebanon rentals and comps, because I think a lot of the outlying areas outside of Nashville have deals to be found, as well as a really solid demo to draw on as tenants or retail buyers.

This is not a good first deal for anyone...unless you have a solid construction background, and I mean like decades.Sometimes when there is a Demo notice posted it is because there are structural issues so severe that the house has essentially been condemned.

Sometimes they go as far as walling off where the garage doors are supposed to be, so you'd have to demo that and put in garage doors.I know some people who have a former model home as their residence, and the downstairs living area has a whole bunch more can lights in the ceiling than you would ever normally put in that size room.
