Get it Under Contract Despite "Notice to Demolish?"

Reviewing my D4D list, I found a property with two door notices: 1) a recent city notice (last month) of "Notice of Proposed Demolition"; 2) a 1-yr old county notice of overdue taxes. Curious to have your informed opinions on whether or not you think this property might be worth pursuing—and what you may know about how to help the seller halt/suspend the process for purposes of getting it under contract.

(Context: I'm a self-educated n00b chasin' his first dealio!)

I agree with @Scott E. This is not a good first deal for anyone...unless you have a solid construction background, and I mean like decades.

Sometimes when there is a Demo notice posted it is because there are structural issues so severe that the house has essentially been condemned. 

So be careful if you proceed. You will need to get the city/county to basically change their mind on this which means going through the variance process.......
