It's funny you should mention this...Last year I had several parent/ child adult occupants fill out an application where the child (mid 20's or so) had an impecable fico and the parents FICO was wrecked.

If the house hold supports 5 adults and a child then the well should to.

If I'm able to purchase the house I plan on using a heloc to purchase and do the rehab, undecided on weather to flip or use the brrrr strategy.

With a new baby at home I've begun child-proofing.

Thankfully, I don't need a lot of money to start out, but I would have significant child care costs if I was doing this full time, thus hard to afford a 100% commission job if I wasn't getting paid for long periods of time.  

An adult can live in a neighborhood because the prices are good and the crime is low, but if the child is seen as an outsider and doesn't fit in, school will probably not be a good experience for them.Just things to ponder on...
