@Fay Brown no, what you’re referring to by the “city site” is almost certainly the online tax assessor site, which is not the building department.To get the legal use, or find out whether part of the house such as basement or attic is legal living space, you need to contact the building department.You can find their info on the page I linked in my previous post (BP won’t let me post the phone number directly).
