I highly recommend it, and it will save carpet or softer wood floors from heavy wear and tear.I use slate tiles as a backsplash in the kitchen.

., I would have served the tenant with a Cure or Quit notice - they painted the condo, which they weren't allowed to do and never asked, installed a kitchen backsplash that had to be pulled off the sheetrock, they stained the kitchen cabinets, they spray painted something on the patio and left a red paint outline, etc.

Things we’re considering:- Paint kitchen cabinets white, butcher block counter tops, and tile backsplash- Vinyl plank flooring on the main floor instead of carpet and 12” tile.- New (SS) appliances- Supplying W/D- Clearing grass/weed/shrubs around part of one building for sitting/common area.This is a (low) B class building, and again only 12 units, so it wouldn’t make sense to go crazy on the common areas, but I’m very curious to hear what others have had success (or not!)

Third, your tile guy is probably doing the backsplash as well, which needs to be done after the cabinets/counters are in -- it's cheaper/easier to just tile the floor at the same time.
