My question for everyone:IF you loved the information in those forms and felt that they covered your land lording concerns, would you be adamant  on using those forms and pay for a lawyer to review and make sure they are legal per state guidelines?

That's what I expected, as well, but this person was adamant that because the listing agent would get the full commission, instead of half of it, that he or she would be more willing to convince the sellers to accept whatever offer you put on the table.

Basically 1099s are used to report when you aren't paying payroll tax, but are "employing" someone.Hope that helps.Thank yoi Adam!
