What would convince an investor/landlord to put wifi enabled thermostats, connected lighting, audible, wifi enabled smoke/CO detector and other devices in a rental unit or even their own homes.I appreciate all input.Cheers,Andrew

Mine can set door codes, message (or call) guests, schedule cleaners, adjust the thermostat, monitor my cameras, & call a plumber just as easily as a local PM can, for 1% of the cost.Hire good cleaners, a solid handyman & befriend some helpful neighbors.

I would also talk to a professional about where to set a thermostat (google says it should not be more than 85) and I would approach it as a good-faith you were checking her concerns: "When I came by the other day I know we had briefly spoke about the furnace, so I reached out to a professional and they stated to not set it above ____.

Because the upgrade to heat pumps was only $500 more.I also added a smart thermostat, so as time goes on I can tweak the controls and set things up to be the most efficient.Mark

I didn’t have to do anything.Colin called an AC guy for a thermostat fix and paid for it himself.Paid for broken window on his own without me asking to ensure a good appraisal.SummaryColin is fantastic.

With it being garage ready the temperature gauge on the thermostat goes below 40*, which is nice if you ever moved it to the garage for any kind of kitchen rehab or to another property for garage use, in the winter (until it gets to freezing temps outside) the it keeps working.
