I was more thinking about maybe a cabin (I live really close to some good mountains) and just build something as a vacation place.

I think that the type of people that live/rent in multi-tenant buildings are generally people just like you, but without the knowledge of Real Estate Investing that you have.

Yes, my sister recently used that one on me.It's akin to the doctor who spends 12 hours in surgery on a heart transplant and when the patient survives, everybody says "Thank God!"  

How's about identifying who the tenants you want to manage are (create a profile of who they would be; income, credit, etc) and then find those people out in public or in different meet ups or whatever, and ask them where they would want to live. Real

A lot of mid-size complexes let the PM live rent-free.

Hello all,I'm a recent FL transplant and one of my lists I send DM to is the tax delinquent list.

Also, I know its required that I live in an FHA financed home for minimum 1yr, so can I live/rent somewhere else while the rehab is being done or does the home have to be my primary residence?

Question 2: Did you grow up here or were you a transplant?

I did find one or two in Aberdeen, but they wouldn't necessarily cash flow when I plug in all the numbers (Which, is that a bad thing if you just break even and can live rent free and bank your money for your next property?).
