So the expense bit, becomes a moot point pretty quickly.And David, I wasn't talk about proximity of an ocean, not to mention one that you can only access 2 months out of the year, and those 2 months it happens to be insanely hot outside ;)As humans, if we are in the same place for a long time we will justify in our heads and bring up the place to be better than it probably is.

I would try and give it to Habitat for Humanity if they will take it to get a tax write off.

The seller wants to be as hands off as humanly possible.  

To this day I wish we would have walked away.. but the super human came out on the bid and we did make money on the house when we sold but lots more expense and work than we ever had thought of.
