30 April 2020 | 16 replies
Just had an AirBNB guest cancel after day 3 of a 30 day booking (we always use strict cancellation policy) because he said he drove by a grocery store 3 blocks away and saw ‘homeless people doing drugs.’The guest called AirBNB and pressured us to lift the strict policy and allow them to cancel for ‘the safety of their family.’A few months ago we had a guest cancel early because they ‘saw someone in the yard at night.’
Alexander Roeschmann Housing Market Crash?

In many markets inventory is lower (in Los Angeles inventory went from 2,577 a month ago down to 1,883 - and that 1,883 is up front 1,700-something a week ago).I can understand why a buyer would rather wait to buy as now - in many areas - they've either chosen or are by law unable to go and view the inside of a property (which is likely why so many sellers had their listings pulled). With the Gilead drug showing very good results for those with pneumonia and the fact some states are opening back up to varying degrees, we'll see what happens.

It's a two-bedroom house in a sketchy hood and I wouldn't be caught living there myself -- that neighborhood is full of trash who laze around all day, selling drugs, collecting disability and welfare and food stamps, picking up free food at the food bank, panhandling anyone who they see who dresses and drives better than they do.My time is important to me.
