It seems like a apples to oranges comparison in a lot of ways to me. 

That way you're not stuck with a bad tenant for the next 12 months if one of them turns out to be a rotten apple.

For me its wine tours apple picking and people wanting to leave a major metropolitan area for a weekend away.

My point in my last post is that the example you've given is not really apples to apples.

You are comparing making investments inside of a qualified plan with personal investments, that is like comparing apples and oranges.

You're not comparing apples to apples. 

i.e. provide an annual prize (New TV, VIP parking space, 1 month free rent, etc.) but you only qualify with 12 months of on-time rent payment and in good standing with management? 

I'm not an attorney, and never played one on TV - but seems to me if he signed the original lease with the 15-day clause in it, then he accepted that provision and therefore must abide by it.
